International Journal of Mathematics in Operational Research, 2023, vol. 25, issue 2, 208-241

Abstract: In this paper, we propose a new family of continuous distributions called the Harris-Topp-Leone-G (Harris-TL-G) family of distributions that extends the Topp-Leone-G family introduced by Al-Shomrani et al. (2016). Explicit expressions for certain statistical properties of the new family of distributions including quantile function, ordinary and incomplete moments, generating functions, Rényi entropy, distribution of order statistics, moment of residual and reversed residual life are derived. We discuss the maximum likelihood estimates for the model parameters. Three real datasets are used to illustrate the flexibility of the new family of distributions.
