Abstract:
This study focuses on the analysis of a k-out-of-n: F repairable system employing a novel lifetime distribution termed the weighted exponential-Lindley distribution (WXLD). The system under investigation assumes constant failure rates, while repair times follow the newly proposed WXLD. The repair process involves two personnel: a trainee for minor repairs and an expert for major repairs. Leveraging the supplementary variable technique and Laplace transformation, we derive key reliability measures for the system, including reliability, availability, expected profit, and sensitivity. To exemplify and validate the generalised results, the research employs a communication system as a practical application.
