Abstract:
Business process modelling is a primary task and widely used for implementing enterprise IT projects. The existing models represent business domain knowledge and are needed to be well managed and reused. In this paper, a framework consisting of methods and an application tool is presented for the business process model management and its reuse. On the basis of the awareness of the challenges of management and its reuse, this paper introduces a web-based business process model management system. Supported by this application, a hierarchical framework with methods to manage and reuse the business process models is described, in which, the developed models called reference models are organised and stored in a hierarchical structure. For the classification and retrieval of the reference models, a fuzzy neural network classifier is described and a case study is provided as an illustration.
