International manufacturing in/divestment strategy: Flextronics in the Czech Republic

Abstract:
Manufacturing location strategy decisions described in Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) theories typically focus on the investment decision rather than on any subsequent divestment. The purpose of this paper is to illuminate the role of both investment- and divestment-related factors through a case of the electronics manufacturer Flextronics in the Czech Republic.
