International Journal of Manufacturing Technology and Management, 2010, vol. 21, issue 1/2, 17-29

Abstract: In the present research Response Surface Methodology (RSM) based parametric analysis has been performed to investigate the change in the responses with the change in input parameters and to determine the optimal setting of process parameters such as pulse frequency, pulse width, lamp current and assist air pressure for achieving minimum height of recast layer and maximum depth of groove of the micro-groove machined. The regression model generates the response surface. The optimum parameter setting for both individual as well as combined responses has also been evaluated.
