Abstract:
This paper presents a review of performance measurement systems for manufacturing organisations and highlights the fact that most systems have deficiencies, such as: lacking strategic focus, not being externally connected, and encouraging short-termism etc. It discusses a performance linkage instrument to overcome these criticisms and explains a multi-level analytical model for application to manufacturing organisations.
