Abstract:
Taiwan's fabless industry as a whole is prominent and is the second largest in the world. This success provides some insights into those small economics with limited resources, e.g. Asian Newly Industrialised Economies (NIEs). This research summarises the key success factors of Taiwan's fabless industry. Moreover, the success modes that Taiwanese fabless companies adopted to win out against global competition are also presented. Finally, the challenges Taiwan is facing and the possible future directions are also discussed.
