Supporting decisional processes in design: a case study in the space industry
Francesca Montagna
International Journal of Product Development, 2015, vol. 20, issue 3, 173-196
Abstract:
The approach proposed in the paper considers a decision perspective on new product development together with the integration of different domains and tools to support design activities. In particular, it highlights the need for methods and tools that investigate and support the design decisional context, improve communication and reduce uncertainty in engineering design situations. The proposed approach has been implemented in a French-Italian space industry company.
