Abstract:
This study investigates the influence of the entrepreneurial mindset and innovation capability on New Product Development (NPD). It also evaluates the moderating roles of risk taking and social competition. A total of 290 responses were collected through a questionnaire survey. The findings suggest that an entrepreneurial mindset has a significant influence on innovation capability. Moreover, the entrepreneurial mindset and innovation capability have a significant influence on NPD. Both risk taking and social competition play a significant role in increasing the influence of the entrepreneurial mindset and innovation capability on NPD. The results of this study may help academic professionals to develop entrepreneurial leadership in the context of NPD.
