Abstract: India witnessed significant growth in the organised retail store format in the last ten years. Since Indian shoppers' preference to organised retail setup is growing, the Indian retail sector has caught the world's imagination and has become attractive retail destination. One critical aspect of such mammoth growth of retail is the development of supply chains and effective supply chain practices. This study aims to design a scale with a high degree of reliability, validity and dimensionality which helps to determine appropriate supply chain practices and their interrelations. The data was collected through questionnaire survey from 157 operations and supply chain heads from leading retail stores in India. Confirmatory factor analysis was used to test the validity of the proposed measurement scale for all the major SC practices. This instrument helps supply chain practitioners to achieve enhanced efficiency levels by studying its significant effect on the efficient integration of entire supply chain process.
