Abstract: This paper reports a research in which integration of quality function deployment (QFD) and analytic hierarchy process (AHP) with total productive maintenance (TPM) was investigated. In order to carry out this investigation, the implementation of a technique called analytic maintenance quality function deployment (AMQFD) was studied in an automotive accessories manufacturing company. In this direction, attempts were made to implement the 14 steps of AMQFD in this company. Since the management of this company was not enthusiastic about implementing AMQFD, all the 14 steps could not be completely implemented. Yet the experiences of conducting this implementation study have revealed the high practical propensity of AMQFD technique. This paper is concluded by claiming that implementation of AMQFD will enable the companies to perform at world class manufacturing (WCM) level.
