Comparative analysis of challenges of selection and recruitment system in two private and public sectors of Iran's petrochemical industry

Abstract:
This study reports a comparative analysis of challenges of selection and recruitment system in two private and public sectors of Iran's petrochemical industry and its impact on effectiveness of human resources management practices. A survey was conducted using the field-descriptive method. The results show that there is a significant difference among identified challenges in selection and recruitment system in two sectors. Also, the effectiveness of human resources management practices in selection and recruitment system is lower than the average level. There exists a significant difference between effectiveness level of human resources management practices in selection and recruitment system in two sectors. Studying the impact of existing challenges shows the existence of a significant and reversed relation among the existing challenges in selection and recruitment system and effectiveness of human resources management practices in this regard.
