Abstract:
The aim of this empirical study is to illustrate the challenge in implementing Six Sigma project as well as the improvement of the manufacturing process through the DMAIC steps integration in a Tunisian company. For this reason, a qualitative method based on a case study is employed to provide detailed information about the reality experienced by the company. Hence, the Minitab software is required in order to detect, resolve and improve the company process. The result shows the positive impact of Six Sigma integration on the company process; illustrated by the cut of non-quality costs, the waste of time and rework which leads to an improvement of product quality and boost of company incomes. Furthermore, this study enhances the research theory of Six Sigma due to the real case study outlining the DMAIC integration. Moreover, it presents a helpful guideline for the quality expert facilitating the scope of its integration. This study is an original because it is the first one which outlines the challenge of Six Sigma project implementation in Tunisian context.
