The mediating role of quality of working life on transformational leadership and achieving strategic success: a field study in universities operating in the northern region of Jordan

Abstract:
This study aimed to identify the impact of transformational leadership (TL) on strategic success (SS) with quality of working life (QWL) as a variable mediator in private and public universities in the northern sector of Jordan. To achieve the objectives of the study, a questionnaire was developed as the main tool for data collection. The study sample consisted of 324 employees from the targeted universities. They were selected as a proportional stratified sample of the study population of 859 employees. The data was analysed using SPSS V.25 and AMOS. The study used descriptive and inferential statistical methods to analyse the data. The study arrived at the perceptions of employees of the targeted universities in the north of Jordan regarding the level of application of TL, SS and QWL, it came to a medium. In addition, QWL plays a mediating role in the impact of TL on SS.
