Moderator effect of Islamic work ethics on the relationship between authentic leadership and organisational citizenship behaviour

Abstract: The aim is to investigate the relationship among two variable such as authentic leadership (AL) and organisational citizenship behaviour (OCB) among telecom industry of Pakistan and examine the role of Islamic work ethics (IWE) as a moderator of those relationships. Quantitative method was used and data collected from telecom industries throughout the Pakistan. The SPSS 23 Statistical software used to analyses data. Convenience sample method was used as a sampling technique. The finding shows that AL was build a significant relation with OCB. Finding also indicates that IWE as a moderator made strong relation between AL and OCB. The results suggest that managers should inspire to adopt the AL style in telecom industry. The contribution of this study was investigating previous unstudied relations between these variables in Pakistan. This research was showed in telecom industry, where the IWE using first time which not used so far in telecom industry.
