The first part of the paper briefly reviews the study of the indicators of sustainable development, including the significance of the study, its recent progress, and common problems, and introduces the concept of genuine saving. The second part analyses the theoretical background and calculation method of genuine saving, and proposes a framework for the study of indicators in China.
