Abstract:
This paper aims to analyse and evaluate digitalisation in the supply chains of retail companies in Cameroon. To conduct the research, a case study of six retail companies is used to identify the digital tools used within the supply chain, as a methodological approach. As a result, the paper identifies the level of digitalisation of retail supply chains in Cameroon, which impacts the supply chain performance. Indeed, many retail companies have been successful due to the level of digitalisation (i.e., the degree of use of digital technologies) of their supply chains. Furthermore, the paper highlights the main challenges, some cultural and others infrastructural, slowing down the digitalisation process in the Cameroonian context. This paper contributes to research carried out in the field of supply chain digitalisation. In the literature, no study has yet been carried out in the Cameroonian context, in contrast to the numerous publications dealing with developed countries.
