Management of logistics and ICT in food supply chain network: a conceptual framework

Abstract:
This paper makes an attempt to understand and improve the effectiveness of information and communication technology (ICT) adoption for agriculture. The proposed research broadly envisages into the logistics management system in farm sector in India with a focus on application of ICTs and various factors affecting its performance. The present conceptual study focuses on the proper implementation and effective use of ICT in farm sector in India in order to achieve sustainable agricultural development. Also it further helps in identifying and developing a framework for key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the logistics network performance and the effectiveness of ICTs in enhancing the efficiency in farm sector.
