Linkage between psychological variable of entrepreneur and business performance: an empirical study in Delhi % NCR with special reference to SMEs

Abstract:
The emphasis of this paper is to explore the factors related to traits that are internal and analysing its impact on the performance of the SMEs in Delhi % NCR. This paper aims at exploring the linkage between individual traits with the organisational performance and understanding how they manage their business. This paper employs a mixed method for data collection from different target respondents. Data are collected through survey, i.e. questionnaire. Data have been collected with the help of convenience sampling. For the survey, entrepreneurs were selected who owns SMEs and running successfully for the last ten years. 86 SMEs were selected for survey. To analyse the data factor analysis and correlation method were used. Results indicated the strong positive association between the individual's psychological traits and business performance. Findings have practical implication for SMEs owner for maintaining sustainability and growth of their organisation.
