Abstract:
In this paper we study economic research in Spain from 1995 to 1999 using EconLit. First we compare economic research in Spain with respect to the whole world. Later, we rank several Spanish institutions following different criteria, as for instance the impact factor and the Half Life index of the Social Science Citation Index and the “Blue Ribbon” lists of journals. The conclusion of our paper is that economic research; although it is concentrated in some institutions, is increasing in the latter years. (Copyright: Fundación Empresa Pública)
