Abstract:
The article presents the development of the world non-ferrous scrap market during 2010 and projections for 2011. In 2010, the international prices substantially increased both for non-ferrous metals and for scraps (+ about 50%), reflecting the larger demand from EU, USA and Japan, as well as from China and India, emergent economies. The aluminium scraps knew prices 50.4%- 67.1% higher and copper scraps +44-49% as against 2009. The forecast for 2011 shows the maintaining of the increasing prices trend.
