Abstract:
The article analyses the cotton world market in 2011, identifying the main trends of the fundamentals of the cotton market (production, consumption, trade, stocks) and of cotton prices at the Liverpool and New York (Stock) Exchange. In the article there are highlighted the main factors which influenced the world prices of cotton in 2011 and perspectives for 2012. Also, it is presented the situation of main actors of the world cotton market, of main producing, exporting and importing countries, for the whole year of 2011.
