NICKEL

Anca Dragomirescu

Conjunctura economiei mondiale / World Economic Studies, 2013

Abstract: The article presents the evolution of the world nickel market during 2012 and projections for 2013. In 2012, the world nickel production exceeded consumption, and the international prices for nickel at the London Metal Exchange declined by over 23%, to an yearly average of 17,540 $/to (22,883 $/to in 2011). The projections for 2013 show that the supply will continue to exceed the world demand for nickel, with a downward pressure on prices.
