Abstract:
In 2012, the American economy continued its raising trend started at mid 2009, private consumption remained moderate throughout the previous year. Real estate market recovery and a slight labor market recovery have led to the restoration of consumer confidence, partly compensating the decrease of government spending. For 2013, experts of the OECD anticipates modest growth, followed by an acceleration in 2014. Real estate market stabilization after a sharp correction in previous years and the increases of rates recorded on the stock market will boost private consumption, while businesses will feel stimulated by improving demand prospects and favorable climate on credit market.
