Abstract: The article presents the evolution of the world vegetable edible oils and oilseeds markets during 2013/2014 and projections for the following season. It contains an indepth analysis of the production, consumption, trade and stocks, by the main types of oils and seeds, at the world level and by the main countries. The author underlines the continuation of the declining prices trend of 2012-2014, reflectind the increased supply as a result of the more rapid growth of production compared to consumption and the record stocks levels.
