Abstract:
The article presents the market’s development in 2013 and prospects for 2014. In 2013 the activity of metals recycling , including rare metals, from the platinum group, and even some from the rare earth group, has intensified. The EU Council of Ministers has approved the amendments to the Directive 2006/112/CE regarding the „revers†added value applied on the scrap market, respectively the value added tax will not be payed by the final consumers but by the suppliers, this measure having as purpose reducing fraud. The prices have dropped for all exported assortments. The forecasts are uncertain with risk of decline.
