Abstract: The article presents the evolution of the world nickel market during 2014 and projections for 2015. In 2014, the nickel yearly average price at the London Metal Exchange increased by about 12% against 2013, to 16,873 $/to (15,022 $/to in 2013), reflecting increased demand for the metal. The forecast for 2015 shows a metal deficit of 50,000 tons.
