Conjunctura economiei mondiale / World Economic Studies, 2015

Abstract: According to European Commission experts, growth picked up in 2014 and is forecast to further strengthen in 2015 and 2016 due to a recovery in domestic demand and gross fixed capital formation, and also an increase of public and private consumption. To a lesser extent, the recovery of the Slovak economy is attributable to the increase of exports of goods and services. Slovakia’s labor market conditions are expected to continue improving, also the fiscal situation is forecast to improve gradually greatly helped by broadening of the income tax base.
