Conjunctura economiei mondiale / World Economic Studies, 2016, 110-115

Abstract: According to the latest data published by the European Commission in its Spring Economic Forecasts, after a prolonged recession, the Greek economy will continue this unfavorable trend in 2016, given its main vulnerabilities: fiscal and budgetary imbalances, high unemployment and very large public debt. However, the European Commission’s forecasts indicate the possibility of a debut of economic recovery in 2017, taking into consideration the expected positive effects of implemented structural reforms along with the increasing of internal demand and a better absorption of European funds.
