Abstract: The article presents the evolution of the world steel market during 2015 and projections for 2016. In 2015, world steel production and consumption to decrease. Steel international prices to fall during 2015 and the forecast for 2016 suggests a increase. China plays the major role, having about half of the world steel production and consumption.
