Abstract:
Since zinc is considered the fourth in order of importance for non-ferrous metal industry, is widely used to galvanize steel, paper presents an analysis of the world market for the metal, following the annual change in prices Metal Exchange in London (London Metal Exchange-LME) and the report of the fundamentals of the market. According to bibliographical sources used, the work contains statistics on supply and demand for refined zinc countries and regions, presenting hierarchical main producers and consumers worldwide in the period under review, providing useful information for investors seeking buying this metal. The paper concludes with forecasts and future trends in world market developments, influenced by the significant restriction capabilities zinc mining industry and the price of this metal quoted at LME.
