Abstract:
Starting with 2016, the economic situation of the Russian Federation has gradually improved, with the main factors contributing to this evolution including the increase in domestic demand and the drastic cut in inflation. In 2017-2018, the Russian economy is expected to emerge from its 2015 recession, backed up by the stabilization of oil prices, although its rate of growth will remain moderate, while fiscal consolidation and other structural reforms are still needed in order to bolster it.
