Abstract:
The article analyses the Aluminium Market development in 2016 and prospects for 2017, insisting on the price trends. In 2016, the aluminium prices continued, for the fourth consecutive year, to decline in the world market, reflecting the market oversupply. Because of the massive production overcapacity and the new capacities starting to produce, the world aluminium supply is estimated to remain high in 2017, in spite of the efforts done by the producers to cut production, and this will continue to keep prices under pressure.
