Abstract:
In the trade relations with the Russian Federation, Lithuania - a member state of the European Union - complies with the economic sanctions decided by the European Union on the Russian Federation after the crisis of Ukraine and the annexation of Crimea (July 2014). At the same time, Lithuania is affected by Russia's retaliatory measures imposed to the EU by the ban on imports of agricultural and food products from the EU Member States (from August 2014 until now).Our article presents the results of the analysis of trade exchanges between Lithuania and the Russian Federation in the pre and post-sanctions period (2013-2017) and a the impact on Lithuanian economy.
