EU – UKRAINE SUMMIT: DRIVERS OF BILLATERAL COOPERATION

Abstract: The latest EU-Ukraine summit ended on July 9th, and during its debates, European leaders reaffirmed their support for continued economic reforms in Ukraine so that this state may overcome the current difficulties it faces after the annexation of Crimea by the Russian Federation. Our article presents the state of the EU-Ukraine relations (especially concerning bilateral trade), as well as the most important conclusions on their future as outlined in the summit. We will also highlight both the implications of Ukraine's signing of the EU Association Agreement and the progress of reforms implemented in order to support the economic development.
