THE REFORM OF THE PUBLIC FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM IN GREECE

Cristina Zeldea

Euroinfo, 2018, vol. 2, issue 9, 43-50

Abstract: In the context of the strategic directions of action of the Economic Adjustment Programmes agreed by the Greek authorities with the European Institutions and with the International Monetary Fund, public financial management has been one of the main areas of reform in Greece. This analysis highlights the weaknesses of the public financial management system aimed to be remedied by the reforms and the corrective measures applied in order for the system to respond adequately to the challenges during the economic and financial recovery process.
