THE IMPACT OF THE RUSSIAN-UKRAINIAN WAR ON THE EUROPEAN UNION’S TRADE IN SERVICES

Abstract:
This paper aims to analyse one of the factors shaping commercial services in the EU in the post-pandemic environment, focusing on the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. Within the analysis of extra-EU trade in services statistical records, economic and policy measures adopted at the European and global level, as well as management decisions of companies involved in international trade in services are taken into account. In the first part of the paper, the evolution of EU trade in services in the process of post-pandemic recovery is presented, highlighting the position of the Russian Federation in the EU trade in services. The second part of the paper analyses the effects of the Russian-Ukrainianwar on the main segments of EU trade in services, such as: tourism, transport, logistics, business and professional services.
