Abstract:
Our article aims to reveal the major financing objectives of CommonAgricultural Policy (CAP) in 2015, assessing the most important changes regarding „the newarchitecture†of the direct payments system in the Member States. The present research isbased on a quantitative analysis (sustained by the DG Agricultural and Rural Developmentstatistical data) concerning the direct payments objectives in the Member States. Through ouranalysis we will highlight the strategic “shift†of CAP toward the objective of sustainabilitythat this is an implied goal of Europe 2020 Strategy. The conclusions of the paper will focuson the advantages of the “greening process†of CAP concerning the financial supportgranted to the European farmers through the direct payments system.
