Abstract:
European Union has engaged to become a low-carbon economy. In thatsense, eco-innovation policies are an instrument of European Commission, which enablesentrepreneurs and businesses into adopting innovative and sustainable solutions of newservices and products and determines more efficiency of resource utilization.This paper promotes the existing definitions and policies into attention of the Romanianacademics, underlining the significant impact which eco-innovation is going to have innational and regional economy.
