Abstract: This paper examines the evolution of the global vehicle fleet in the period 2010-2014 (thelatest year for which data are currently available). It reveals aspects regarding the evolution of theauto fleet, in general, and of cars and commercial vehicles fleet, in particular, as well as the rate ofmotorization worldwide, and by different countries and regions. It also provides a forecast for 2020.The analysis shows that the global automotive market has seen a gradual recovery after the 2007-2009 crisis, but recorded a somewhat lower pace of growth than before the crisis in terms of therelevant indicators.
