Abstract:
After the Development Strategy, Romania, member of the European Union, conceived an Operational Programme for the activities that concern the professionalization and the repartition of the man power on development regions. Starting from an analysis of the occupational structure in the Oltenia South-Western Region, there can be evidenced the particularities of the presented area, as compared to other development regions from Romania, and to the countries from the Western Countries. The number of the employees, the employment of the able to work population, in different branches of the economy, and the number of the unemployed are determined by direct and indirect causes that are related to the structure of the economic sectors. In the study of the article, it is also demonstrates the necessity to make the individual and the state responsible, contributing factor for the expected change in the evolution of the man power
