Calanter Paul

Impact of Socio-economic and Technological Transformations at National, European and International Level (ISETT), 2015, vol. 3

Abstract: In the current economic crisis, cost reduction is particularly important in any activity. However, the compliance with environmental requirements is also an essential factor. Due to these aspects, multidisciplinary eco-economic analysis, becomes increasingly more important globally, for the construction and selection of viable scenarios for sustainable development. The objective of this research is to develop an integrated analysis scheme - environmental and economic - to assess the techniques for producing electricity, scheme that will be used to evaluate future development scenarios for the electricity generation sector. In the second part of the paper will be presented a case study, in which, by applying the integrated analysis scheme, a total of seven electricity production techniques that use traditional fuels, namely oil, natural gas and coal, will be analyzed and evaluated.
