Abstract:
The system of international relations is changing, after a period of supremacy of the single planetary power, the United States of America, winning nation after the ending of the Cold War. USA position of superpower is continually the subject of the opinions of many specialists in the global geopolitic and geostrateg. Of course, there are opposing views that argue that the system of international relations was not a single-pole system since after the implosion of the Soviet Union (USSR). Russia the Soviet power before 1989- has stayed together with USA as a global superpower. The economic development of some countries, such as Brazil, Russia, India and China (BRIC) and more recently South Africa, even in the conditions of the economic and financial crisis of sovereign debt, along with the slowing of the consolidation process of the economical and military power of the European Union, the USA and of most countries belonging to the European area whith are not part of EU, ensured the necessary conditions for transition from a unipolar system toa multi-polar systeme, in terms of international relations.
