Abstract:
This research aims to identify and highlight the main causes and also the effects of the anxiety on the functioning of the institutions within the national defence, public order and national security system (PONS), in terms of both individual entities and organizational culture perspective. The paperwork represents a synthesis of the studies related to the researched field and also of several interviews conducted with a number of subjects from the PONS system. The respondents presented interesting aspects regarding the existence of some vulnerabilities connected to the homeland security area that could generate negative consequences on the organisational climate within PONS institutions. Meanwhile, they recommended indirectly ways for developing a better working system and, consequently, for improving the PONS system and the level of response against external threats to the homeland and EU / NATO security.
