Transposition into national law of EU regulations on environmental protection, with special reference to the legal regime of waste

Daniel Stefan Paraschiv

Impact of Socio-economic and Technological Transformations at National, European and International Level (ISETT), 2015, vol. 5

Abstract: Achieving a common policy of the European Union member states in waste management, in order to no longer exist different approaches in some areas, with negative consequences for the environment and people, requires permanent alignment of the states law, administrative and judicial practices on waste management and sanctioning harmful acts, to all international regulations, particularly of the European Union, to the principles and interpretations resulting from the Court of Justice of the European Union and other bodies involved in these tasks. Responding to these requirements, legislation adopted by our country and organization of specialized institutions comply with EU directives, thus creating the prerequisites for a good management of waste and firm sanction of the facts which affect the environment.
