Abstract: The interviews with women convicted for trafficking in human beings show that there are specific conditions which push the women to go into trafficking process, such as poor financial situation, abuse, existence of a relationship with the traffickers before committing the crime and lack of a job. There have also been identified specific aspects in committing the crime, such as the gender of the victims, the existence of a relationship with the victims before committing the crime, the place where the crime is committed, and the material acts of the crime. The risk of re-entering the trafficking process is high, given that the individual resources of the women put them in the category of vulnerable persons.
