Abstract:
The complexity of milling process requires a thorough knowledge and modeling of the existing phenomena during the cutting process. The development of cutting models regarding the tridimensional character of the machining process became indispensable. The emergence and integration of the composite materials into industry have taken a growing scale, thus as studying the behavior of these composite materials during their processing becomes imperative. Within the technology transfer from conventional materials to the composite materials, integrating the cutting moments in the mathematical models is needed.
