This article addresses two important issues for our society: social protection expenditure and old age pension. The objective of the study is the analysis of the correlation between social protection expenditure in Romania and old age pension. In order to analyze this correlation we will identify a linear regression model with two variables: social protection expenditure and old age pension. The time slot we will use is the period 2003 - 2012.
