Abstract: In this paper a gas-dynamic method of solving the fundamental problem of interior ballistics for 76 mm-caliber weapon system was performed based on the capabilities provided by FLUENT software. This method allows using of less simplifying assumptions than those made in traditional methods of solving direct problem of internal ballistics. If a new type of powder is synthetized, the proposed method can be used successfully in interior ballistic calculations, proving to be a very useful tool in the design calculations of a new ammunition.
