Aspects regarding explosives breaching in light obstacles

Moldovan Marius

Impact of Socio-economic and Technological Transformations at National, European and International Level (ISETT), 2015, vol. 8

Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to present author’s contribution for developing in Romania unconventional means for explosives breaching. In this article, light obstacles mean masonry walls without reinforcement. In order to create a breach is necessary to use an explosive device, especially designed to „cut†a contour into the obstacle and push the resulted material to clear the pass through the obstacle. Optimizing the configuration of such an explosive device involves combining numerical simulations with experimental results. To save material and financial resources is important to define precise and complete the operational needs.
